Eyeglass prescription guide.

ZEISS Optical Inserts for Apple Vision Pro.

It's easy to order ZEISS Optical Inserts.

Key prescription aspects to keep in mind.

The following guide explains the prescription information you need to provide when ordering ZEISS Optical Inserts – Prescription for Apple Vision Pro. These points are for your reference and are not legal advice. If you have questions about your prescription, please ask your eye care professional.

  • We need your eyeglass prescription to create your ZEISS Optical Inserts – Prescription (sometimes also called distance prescription). This is why we ask you to upload it. Contact lens prescriptions or ones for task-specific uses (office or computer glasses, near reading glasses) don't qualify.

  • Your prescription should contain an expiration and/or issue date. If it doesn't have a date, please ask your eye care professional  if the prescription is still valid.

Sometimes prescriptions have an issue and examination date. The validity of prescriptions may vary: most prescriptions will be valid for 12 months, but some could also be valid for two or more years. If your prescription is older than 12 months, we recommend checking with your eye care professional to make sure it's still valid.

  • Your eyeglass prescription needs to include your full name.

  • Prescriber's signature

Your eyeglass prescription must include the prescriber's (eye care professional) clearly visible signature. Electronic signatures are accepted.

    Prescriber information

Your eyeglass prescription must include the prescriber's information.

Be prepared

Make sure all information is clear and valid before you upload.

Remember it should contain:

  1. The prescriber's information
  2. Issue date
  3. Your personal information
  4. Your vision correction details for eyeglasses
Note: If you have a value in Cylinder then you also need to have a value in Axis, and vice versa.
  5. The prescriber’s signature

Make sure your upload is done correctly:

  • Scan the whole document (we need more than only the values)
  • Make sure the image is not blurred (i.e., all text is sharp)
  • Make sure the image is not obstructed (e.g., covered with hand)

Please note, not all documented prescriptions look the same. Information may be displayed differently.
If you identify a missing value or information, please make sure to ask your eye care professional before uploading.
